HomeNet Automotive and vAuto integration

HomeNet Automotive's SnapLot 360 was integrated into vAuto Conquest and Provision in an April 2021 product announcement. The connection lets dealership staff capture and publish 360-degree vehicle views within the inventory-management workflow. The announcement describes using one application for inventory management and merchandising, rather than requiring a separate inventory-merchandising platform for that capture task.

The announced workflow gives dealers a smartphone-based way to create an interactive vehicle presentation while working in vAuto's new- and used-vehicle inventory products. The named connection is between the merchandising application and those inventory tools; it is more specific than the fact that HomeNet and vAuto belong to Cox Automotive.

Capture and inventory distribution are separate tasks

HomeNet's broader merchandising business also covers vehicle information and photographs mapped from multiple sources and distributed to third-party advertising destinations. A dealer choosing a setup should distinguish capturing a vehicle view from distributing that completed presentation. Test the selected inventory product, the captured media and its intended destination as separate steps.
