Car Dealer Vendors standard

Privacy policy

What Car Dealer Vendors collects, published by Carbide Digital. The short version: this site has no accounts, no sign-in, no forms, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies. It does not build a profile of you, and it has nothing about you to sell.

No accounts and no forms

There is no registration, sign-in, newsletter, comment system or lead form anywhere on this site. You are not asked for a name, email address, phone number, company or dealership identity in order to read any record or use any tool.

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking

This site sets no cookies. It loads no analytics package, no advertising pixel, no session recorder and no third-party scripts, fonts or images — every asset is served from this site's own domain. There is nothing here to consent to, which is why you are not shown a cookie banner.

Tools run entirely in your browser

The stack assessment, the shortlist and the RFP builder save their state in your browser's local storage, on your own device, because you asked the tool to remember your selections. That data is never transmitted to a server, is not readable by the publisher, and is not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it. Under the ePrivacy rules this is storage strictly necessary to provide a service you actively requested, so it does not require consent.

Server logs

Pages are delivered by a content delivery network, which processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, referring URL, requested path and timestamp — to route the request, deliver the page and defend against abuse and denial-of-service. That is operational data held by the hosting provider under its own retention schedule for security and delivery, not a marketing profile built by this site. Where the GDPR applies, the lawful basis is legitimate interests in securing and delivering the service.

Email you choose to send

If you email a correction, a submission or a question, that message, your address and anything you include in it are kept for as long as needed to handle the matter and to keep a record of what was corrected and why — which is itself an editorial accountability requirement. Correction correspondence is not added to any marketing list, and this site sends no marketing email of any kind.

Information about companies is not personal data about you

Records describe companies, products and integrations. Where a record names an individual — for example an executive named in an acquisition announcement — it is reported from a public source in the context of legitimate journalistic and research activity, and the correction and removal routes below apply.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you may email the address below to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR that includes access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and a right to complain to your supervisory authority. Under the CCPA and CPRA it includes the right to know, delete, correct and limit. Requests are answered without charge.

No sale or sharing of personal information

This site does not sell personal information, does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and does not disclose it to third parties for their own purposes. There is no Do Not Sell link because there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

This is a business-to-business research site for dealership operators. It is not directed to children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

International visitors

The site is hosted in the United States and served globally by a content delivery network. If you visit from outside the United States, request data is processed in the region your traffic is routed through and in the United States.

Third-party links

Records link to company websites, press releases and source documents. Those sites set their own cookies and have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover and the publisher does not control.

Changes and contact

Material changes to this policy are dated on the research change log. Privacy questions, and any request under the rights above, go to team@carbidedigital.io.
