DealerSocket Auto/Mate DMS

DealerSocket Auto/Mate DMS: Solera describes its DMS, also known as Auto/Mate, as a dealer management system for franchise dealerships. Its pages say the cloud-based platform covers inventory, sales, service, F&I, parts and accounting from one interface, and is meant to power anything from a single rooftop to a multi-store enterprise with centralized control.

DealerSocket Auto/Mate DMS: Dealer management systems (DMS)

The company says the system integrates every department in real time. So a sales team working a deal sees inventory and F&I menus as they change.

It describes sales tools such as real-time inventory and pricing, digital deal structuring and automated follow-up tied to the CRM. Service and parts areas that share visibility into repair orders, inspection results, parts availability and technician workload.

Reporting is described as customizable, with automated reports for executives, managers and frontline teams. Key functions can be reached from tablets and phones on the lot or in the service lane.

Solera's DMS pages sit within its dealer operations solutions, alongside the DealerSocket CRM and other products.

Auto/Mate has its own website, and the company's LinkedIn page describes Solera's Auto/Mate Dealership Systems. Solera lists a second DMS, IDMS, under the DealerSocket brand, which shows the company sells more than one system.

A dealer reading older material should check the name in use, since DealerSocket, Auto/Mate and Solera all appear.

Solera describes the DMS as offering flexibility, performance and transparency without rigid limitations of legacy systems, which is the vendor's positioning.

A franchise dealer evaluating the DMS would ask which manufacturers it is certified with, how conversion from the current system is handled, how the CRM and DMS share customers, what the accounting module offers for payroll and reporting, how support is delivered and what the contract term is. The category guide for dealer management systems lists the neutral checklist.

DealerSocket signed an agreement to acquire Auto/Mate in January 2024. The combined company offers a CRM, digital retail, websites, inventory tools and an independent-focused DMS.

Solera owns DealerSocket.

Solera's dealer site lists Auto/Mate and iDMS under the DealerSocket name. A dealer would ask which of the two DMS products gets new development.

Because two related systems sit under one family of names, ask for a reference at a store that runs the exact product you would buy, with your brand and a similar number of rooftops. Ask that controller how the month-end close and parts ordering compare with the old system, and how long the first full close took after conversion.
