Tekion Automotive Retail Cloud

Tekion Automotive Retail Cloud: Tekion describes Automotive Retail Cloud, or ARC, as a platform that unites a dealer management system, CRM, service lane technologies, payments, payroll, analytics and more on one AI-native platform. The company's ARC page and outside overviews describe it as built on a modern microservices architecture on Google Cloud, so individual components such as inventory, F&I, service scheduling and CRM can be updated independently.

Tekion Automotive Retail Cloud: Dealer management systems (DMS)

On the DMS side, Tekion lists centralized and multi-company accounting, payment automation through open APIs or MICR check printing for the business office. A service suite that includes online service scheduling and a customer portal, mobile write-up and multi-point inspection, and RFID for service.

Its digital retail module is listed on SoftwareOne's marketplace.

The CRM is described as an extension of the DMS that unifies customer data by removing duplicates and enabling real-time data flow. Tekion lists lead management, smart assignment based on past relationships, real-time alerts and generative AI features named Lead Snapshot and Smart Communication.

It published a blog post announcing its AI-powered CRM and sales performance management.

Tekion says AI is used across the platform, from lead prioritization in the CRM to predictive service recommendations and real-time analytics. It describes connected car interfaces and predictive maintenance among the DMS's newer features.

Those are statements of the company's design and direction.

Outside overviews on LinkedIn, The State of Automotive, Ringlead and DealerInt discuss the system, including limitations, and are the authors' opinions.

A dealer moving to a new DMS makes a whole-store decision. The usual questions are manufacturer certifications for each franchise, data conversion, accounting and payroll fit, hardware and training, uptime, how third-party vendors connect, contract length and the way data can be exported later.

Verify each integration first.

Automotive Retail Cloud is the name for Tekion's whole platform: DMS, CRM, service lane tools, analytics, payments, payroll and digital retail on one stack. Tekion says there are no servers at the dealership, updates deploy automatically and disaster recovery is built in.

The service side covers online scheduling, digital check-in, mobile approvals and embedded payments, and the company describes AI agents that use the shared data. It is meant for single stores and large groups.

A buyer should ask what a conversion involves, which third-party tools connect through Tekion's partner program and how overrides and manual journal entries are handled in accounting.

Tekion built its platform on Microsoft Azure and says updates deploy automatically with no servers at the store. That changes how a dealership plans: there is no on-site database to maintain, but the store depends on the vendor's release schedule.

Ask how much notice customers get before a change to accounting or service workflows, who can approve manual journal entries and what the standard export is if the store leaves.
