ADESA Simulcast
ADESA Simulcast: ADESA describes Simulcast as its online way to join live wholesale auctions. A dealer can search inventory, receive auction notifications and bid in real time alongside buyers standing in the lanes.
ADESA Simulcast: Simulcast
The company presents it as the digital counterpart to attending a sale in person.
The ADESA help center explains the entry point. When a vehicle is running in a live sale, a Join Now button appears.
The buyer finds the location, sale lane or inventory of interest and clicks it to open the bidding screen. Separate help articles cover finding a sale from a desktop and the types of bids that can be placed.
The bidding screen, as ADESA describes it, shows live auction video of the vehicle currently running, with four small lane views along the bottom so a buyer can watch other lanes without switching pages. The screen also shows information on upcoming vehicles and the competition in the lanes.
It lets a buyer open vehicle description pages during the session.
Two bidding controls are described. The Bid button places an incremental bid as if standing in the lane, at the price shown on the button, which is one increment above the sale price displayed in the history section.
The Auto bid option lets the buyer enter the maximum amount they are willing to pay and have the software bid in increments up to that limit.
Auto Remarketing reported ADESA debuting a new online Simulcast tool. A PR Newswire release described ADESA hosting a remote sale spanning multiple locations using Simulcast+ technology.
The release presents the technology as a way to run a single sale across sites, which shows it is used for larger multi-lane events as well as single-location sales.
Clear is the company's timed digital format, and Simulcast is its live-auction format. So a dealer may use one, the other or both.
The ADESA site lists both under its digital offerings, next to its physical auction locations.
A buyer's checklist for Simulcast includes the buyer requirements for an account, how condition information is presented. A car is on the block, how announcements such as arbitration terms are communicated on screen, how internet lag is handled if a bid is placed at the last moment, and how payment and transportation are arranged after the sale.
ADESA's help center is the primary place to read those procedures. Ask about training time.
