CUDL: product details

Origence says its CUDL network connects 1,100 credit unions and 20,000 dealers through one platform that handles credit applications, digital contracting, auto media and DMS integration. Dealer testimonials on the page include a finance manager who says a customer used to need three to four days to get a check from a credit union and now takes three to four minutes, and a general manager who says customers spend less time in the showroom.

For credit unions it cites testimonials such as look-to-book rising from about 22 percent to over 40 percent and one credit union tripling volume since 2017.

These are testimonials and company counts, so a dealer should ask which credit unions in its market are active, what the buy rate and reserve rules are, whether there is a per-application fee for dealers, and how a contract is delivered and funded. Origence's about page describes its mission as integrated origination technology and quotes its president and chief executive, Tony Boutelle, saying it goes as credit unions go.

The page also advertises DMS integration that reduces duplicate data entry and auto media aimed at preapproved credit union shoppers, which affects how many applications arrive before a customer reaches the showroom. Test it on one rooftop.
