Point Predictive is a company focused on auto lending fraud. Its 2026 trends report puts fraud exposure at a record 10.4 billion dollars.
Its other products score applications and check income and employment.
The company also works with Cox Automotive's Dealertrack. That partnership, announced in January 2026, adds Point Predictive's tools to the Dealertrack F&I platform.
A dealer would ask what goes into its own score and how to see it. It would ask how a lender uses the score and how a store can correct wrong inputs.
Point Predictive is based in San Diego and says it has served the auto finance industry since 2017. Frank McKenna is named as co-founder and chief fraud strategist.
The company publishes a fraud trends report each year, and its 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions are all on its site.
Those reports put industry fraud exposure at 7.9 billion dollars in the 2024 edition, 9.2 billion in 2025 and 10.4 billion in 2026. The figures are the company's own estimates.
DealerCheck is the piece aimed at dealer monitoring, and a store would ask what it is scored on.
Point Predictive's DealerCheck page is written for lenders, not dealers: it offers dealer risk scores built with AI, customizable alerts when a dealer's risk changes, which it says can surface issues up to 180 days earlier than traditional methods, a centralized dashboard for dealer management and data-driven onboarding of new dealers. A dealer can read this as a preview of how a finance source may score its store, and should ask lenders which signals feed such a score.
