Vitu describes Vitu Interstate as its title and registration solution for out-of-state vehicle sales, covering all fifty states. The company introduced it in a release carried by PR Web and other outlets, presenting it as a set of tools for dealerships that need to provide service and support for out-of-state buyers.

The solution has three components, according to Vitu: detailed fee estimates, ready-to-sign title and registration forms, and full-service title and registration processing on the dealer's behalf. Vitu says that for every state it calculates fees and creates pre-populated forms, which is intended to make a complex process simpler.

Interstate is integrated with Vitu's electronic titling and registration applications, Vitu and DMVdesk. So a business office that already uses one of them has the interstate tools in the same place.

The DMVdesk site publishes a page on national titling and registration that describes the same service under that product name.

In November 2024, Business Wire carried a release saying Vitu signed an agreement to acquire the Dealertrack registration and titling businesses from Cox Automotive. The businesses named in the release include RTS, RegUSA, Accelerated Title and Collateral Management Services.

A trade publication, Montana Auto Dealer Magazine, has described Vitu as providing digital registration and titling technology for dealers in that state, which is an example of a state association covering the product. Accel-KKR, an investor, also posted the company's 50-state announcement.

For a business manager who handles many out-of-state sales, the checklist is specific: which states are handled fully and which require the dealer to send documents, how quickly processing is turned around, how fees are collected and remitted, how the service handles liens and payoffs, and how a rejected packet is corrected.

Because state rules change, a dealer should also ask how forms are kept current and who is accountable when a form changes. The category guide for registration and titling lists the same questions in neutral form, for use with any provider.

Ask who supports it.

Vitu says it built Interstate because out-of-state vehicle transactions are complex and confusing. The service calculates fees, fills forms in advance and gives a checklist of documents for cross-state deals.

Vitu bought the Dealertrack registration and titling businesses, including RegUSA, in January 2025.

That purchase put two out-of-state tools under one owner. A dealer would ask which one is being kept for new work.
