DocStar: product details

DocStar is enterprise content management software that covers document imaging, records management, workflow and accounts payable automation, in the cloud or on premises. Epicor acquired it in 2017.

For dealerships, the notable link is its integration with the Karmak dealer management system, which lets accounts payable data move directly into Karmak Fusion. Epicor owns it.

Because it is a general product, a dealership should ask how it handles repair order or deal documents, whether it supports manufacturer audit retention and how invoice matching works against the DMS. Compare it with dealership-specific archiving products.

DocStar also supplies electronic forms and can run on premises or as a hosted service. Karmak lists it beside DocuBizz and Yooz as an accounts payable option, so a Karmak dealer has three integrations to compare.
