TimeHighway

TimeHighway is a service-appointment-scheduling product for dealership service departments; its public site is a dealer login and its help-desk address is at affinitiv.com, indicating the product is operated by Affinitiv, so scope beyond scheduling was not established from the page. Its role is online and contact-center service scheduling.

Dealers should evaluate DMS integration, capacity and skills-based scheduling, and the current Affinitiv relationship directly.

TimeHighway: product details

TimeHighway.com offers online service scheduling for dealerships and is operated by Affinitiv. Its product lets customers book in real time, shows VIN-specific service menus, supports digital inspections, express check-in and check-out and a back-stop for overflow appointment calls, and can send confirmations, reminders and thank-you messages by email or text.

Affinitiv operates it.

Descriptions say all appointments, including those set by phone, can run through the system, which integrates with DMS vendors such as Reynolds, ADP and Auto/Mate. A service manager should ask which DMS and OEM programs are certified for its brand, how open times are drawn from advisor capacity and what the overflow service costs.

Check the overflow fee. It books service visits online.

A February 2011 announcement, made ahead of that year's NADA show, lists what the scheduler did at the time. Customers could book from a dealer's website without registering, since the system created an account and emailed a username and password.

They could check in and pay online, and a reminder email offered Confirm or Reschedule buttons, which the company said reduced no-shows. Advisors were assigned by rotation when a customer picked none, and a next-appointment button loaded the vehicle's operation codes.

Acura dealers had a link to MyAcura.com. The release is fifteen years old, so treat it as history and ask for the current feature list.
