It brings the earlier Fleet Services and FleetNet America operations under one name.

Cox Automotive describes the service as a way to keep commercial vehicles running. It says technicians can be dispatched to a fleet anywhere in the country.

The service mixes the company's own technicians with third-party providers, with central coordination.

Cox Fleet also works with Geotab, a fleet telematics provider. The companies describe predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics as the aim.

Cox Automotive also bought fleet software company FleetMaster, as reported by Automotive Fleet.

This product serves fleet operators, not retail dealerships. A buyer would ask about coverage in its own region and how repairs are approved and billed.

FleetNet America began in 1953 as an internal breakdown department for Carolina Freight Carriers in Cherryville, North Carolina. In 1993 it was incorporated as Carolina Breakdown Service and in 1997 took the FleetNet America name.

Cox Automotive acquired it in 2023.

Cox says Cox Fleet gives access to more than 65,000 service providers and has over 1,500 technicians of its own. It says FleetNet handles about 2.5 million calls a year.

Those are company figures. Trade outlets such as Transport Topics and Heavy Duty Trucking covered the January 2026 launch.

Cox Fleet also works with Geotab for telematics. Cox Automotive earlier bought the fleet software company FleetMaster, as Automotive Fleet reported.

A fleet buyer would ask which of these tools the maintenance program uses and who owns the vehicle data.
