Dealer Inspire Conversations

Dealer Inspire Conversations: Dealer Inspire, now part of Cars Commerce, describes Conversations as a live chat and messaging platform that connects shoppers with a dealership wherever and however they want to communicate. It combines AI technology with managed chat support to respond to incoming chats around the clock.

Dealer Inspire Conversations: Conversations

The virtual assistant in Conversations is described as powered by generative AI, which the company says moves basic lead capture toward more helpful interactions that guide visitors to a transaction. A Cars Commerce page describes the AI chat virtual assistant, and a DealerRefresh thread records the launch of a starter package.

For the dealership team, the platform provides internal messaging so salespeople do not use personal text messages to talk to each other, with a view of who is online and group notifications. Agents also get access to the searchable real-time inventory, custom incentives, videos, brochures and a payment calculator from their device, and can send a vehicle to a customer directly.

Conversations is described as standard on iOS and Android apps and scalable for stores of any size. The Apple App Store carries the Dealer Inspire Conversations app, and Dealer Inspire runs a webinar on best dealership chat practices.

Manufacturer programs are involved. Dealer Inspire has an OEM certified programs page for the product.

An Infiniti digital program document describes the chat offering for its dealers. So a franchise dealer may see it presented through a brand program.

DealershipNews lists chat tools by vendor with outside reviews. A store considering managed chat would ask who staffs the chat, what they are trained to say, what hours are covered, how leads are handed off, how consent for text messaging is recorded, how transcripts are stored and how the tool connects to the store's CRM.

Ask who supports it.
