They do not have to build custom reports or export data.

Each answer includes suggested next steps grounded in dealership data and the company's industry knowledge. The tool adapts to how an individual dealership operates.

It currently focuses on sales analytics, with service planned next, then parts and finance.

The company says the tool runs on dealership data inside Lightspeed's own infrastructure and that user information does not go to public AI models. It lists multi-factor authentication and zero trust access controls and says existing role permissions apply.

So staff cannot see data they could not see before. It mentions a security assessment, which a dealer should ask to review.

The tool serves powersports, marine, RV, trailer, outdoor power equipment and golf dealers.

A general manager would ask how answers are checked against source reports. It would ask what data the AI can read and how questions are logged.

The category guide for dealership analytics lists a neutral checklist.

Lightspeed announced AI Command Center on March 17, 2026 and made it generally available on August 18, 2026. The company calls it an insights engine built for recreational dealerships.

Trade sites RV Business and the Marine Retailers Association carried the news.

It says the engine is based on 40 years of data from more than 4,500 dealers. A dealer would ask what data leaves the store's own records to train it.

AI Command Center is Lightspeed's question-and-answer layer for powersports, marine, RV, trailer and golf car dealers, announced in March 2026. Users type a question such as which units are slowest moving or which brands carry the most margin, and receive answers, charts and suggested next steps drawn from the dealership's own live and historical data inside the DMS.

Lightspeed says dealership data stays private and is not shared with other dealers. A general manager should test it on a known report, check whether answers show the underlying records and ask whether it costs extra.
