There is a CDK eSignature app in the Apple App Store.

The remote option is called Sign Anywhere. Auto Success, Nasdaq and Auto Remarketing carried the announcement, in which CDK described a way for customers to electronically sign most of the finance and insurance forms needed to buy a vehicle without being at the dealership.

The release said it works for customers of CDK eSign.

According to the announcement, Sign Anywhere houses a portfolio of F&I forms in one secure digital location and lets the dealer load forms into a digital deal jacket. Customers open the forms with multi-factor authentication and sign at their convenience.

Auto Remarketing reported that a Volkswagen captive finance company was among the first users of the product.

The digital deal jacket is described as giving the dealership an indexed archive of the documents for each deal, created instantly. CDK links digital document hosting to lower paper handling costs.

Its releases talk about faster processing on the lender side, which are the company's claims and depend on the store and lender.

CDK also published a Trucks, Parts and Service article about launching an electronic F&I solution and a page on digital contracting. The Digital Finance Office page describes a broader approach to the finance office, where signing is one step in a digital flow.
