TradePending Value Watch
TradePending Value Watch: TradePending introduced Value Watch in January 2025 through a GlobeNewswire release that Digital Dealer and Morningstar also carried. The company describes it as an automated tool that helps dealerships keep their name in front of customers over the long term.
TradePending Value Watch: AutoBio and Value Watch
It is one of several TradePending products that revolve around a consumer's trade-in.
The mechanism, as TradePending explains it, starts with a lead. When a consumer submits a trade-in request, or asks for a payment estimate that includes a trade-in, the platform enrolls that person in Value Watch whether or not they go on to buy from the dealership.
The dealership's enrolled list therefore grows automatically as trade-in leads arrive, without staff adding names by hand.
Once enrolled, the consumer receives an automated monthly email that tracks the value of their vehicle over time. The company presents the email as useful to the consumer in its own right, since it reports a number the owner may wonder about, and as a way for the dealer to keep a standing relationship with people who did not buy.
TradePending says each email can carry service offers designed to bring the customer to the dealership's service lane rather than to an independent service center. The product page also describes a dedicated landing page for marketing campaigns and a way to promote the dealer's service specials in the same message.
Value Watch is described as working alongside other TradePending products, named as Service Offers, Trade and Payments. The Trade product is TradePending's trade-in valuation tool for dealer websites.
So Value Watch is best understood as a follow-up layer on top of it, not a stand-alone valuation engine. A dealer that does not use TradePending Trade on its site would want to ask how leads reach Value Watch.
Practical questions for a store: how the monthly value figure is sourced and updated, what the email footer says about unsubscribing and consent, whether the dealer can edit the template and the offers shown, and how enrolled contacts are exported or synced to the CRM. Email marketing to consumers is subject to consent and opt-out rules.
So the store's own counsel and its CRM provider are the right parties to settle how enrollment is handled.
TradePending's blog post introducing the tool frames the goal as lifelong brand awareness, meaning customers who remember the dealership when they next need to sell, buy or service a car. That is the company's stated purpose and is recorded here as such.
