VinSolutions Connect CRM
VinSolutions Connect CRM: VinSolutions, a Cox Automotive brand, describes Connect CRM as a cloud-based customer relationship management system built for automotive retail. Its product pages say the system gives a dealership control over how leads are managed, with customizable processes that authorized users can change at any time.
VinSolutions Connect CRM: Connect CRM
The company says Connect CRM helps dealerships process and nurture leads by integrating dealership systems, processes and tools to give a single view of the customer across the store. It also describes drawing on Cox Automotive consumer data to inform each shopper's next step, which is the vendor's description of the added data layer.
Automation and messaging are described in detail. VinSolutions says the system can automate follow-ups with recent customers and leads, assign tasks to sales staff for targeted communication with email and text templates, and engage each opportunity with round-the-clock follow-up.
It also mentions MMS messaging that includes automation in the CRM.
Sales and service data are described as synchronized. VinSolutions says intelligent match and merge logic, powered by Cox Automotive, syncs customer data in real time between the two departments to create a single customer view, which matters for a store that wants a service customer to be recognized by the sales team.
Integrations are a large part of VinSolutions' positioning. Its integrations page and a Cox Automotive Retail post about connecting VinSolutions with a Dealer.com account describe how the CRM works with other Cox Automotive products and with third-party tools.
Software Advice and Crm.org also have listing pages, which carry independent descriptions and reviews.
Because the CRM is the store's record of shoppers and customers, a change of CRM is a substantial project. A store evaluating Connect CRM would ask how leads from each source are routed, how the store's DMS data is imported and refreshed, how texting consent is recorded, what reports are available to a sales manager, and how user roles control access to sensitive customer information.
The category guide for CRM lists a shared checklist that applies to Connect CRM and to any other provider. Ask who supports it.
Get it in writing.
VinSolutions was founded in 2006 and is owned by Cox Automotive. In February 2016 Cox announced that VinSolutions CRM would be its primary CRM, and Dealertrack CRM clients began moving to it.
Cox announced key leadership changes at VinSolutions in an earlier release.
VinSolutions sold to Autotrader, and a founder interview claims a price of 150 million dollars. That figure is from the interview and not a Cox filing.
