Cars Commerce Dealer Inspire: Dealer Inspire
It sits beside Cars.com and AccuTrade in the Cars Commerce family.
The websites emphasize fast vehicle search, personalized messaging and technical, local and content SEO. Conversations combines AI with managed chat around the clock.
Trade-in appraisals come from AccuTrade, and the Cars Commerce Media Network handles advertising.
Dealer Inspire says it is certified for nearly all major manufacturers. It publishes an OEM programs page for its chat product.
Those programs connect manufacturer branding and audience data to the dealership's digital experience.
This entry is the brand view for a store deciding whether to buy the platform as a whole.
A dealer principal would ask which products the store gets under its manufacturer program and which cost extra. It would ask who owns the domain and content and how the pieces connect.
The category guide for dealer platforms lists a neutral checklist. Ask what is included.

Cars.com announced on February 14, 2018 that it would buy Dealer Inspire and Launch Digital Marketing. The company put the price at about 210 million dollars, of which 165 million was cash at closing.
Up to 40 million more depended on performance over three years.
The two businesses had about 1,700 customers and 400 employees at the time, according to the announcement. It described Dealer Inspire as a maker of dealer websites, digital retailing and messaging products, and Launch as a digital marketing services firm.
Dealer Inspire keeps a page on the merger with Cars.com.
Cars Commerce now sells Dealer Inspire as one of its dealer brands. Product descriptions include Conversations, an AI-powered messaging platform with a generative virtual assistant that moves a visitor toward talking to staff, Online Shopper, where a customer saves vehicles in a garage, compares payments, adds F&I products and checks out in three steps, and Fuel, which builds ad campaigns from inventory data.
The three work with the dealer's website. Check which pieces are included at your tier, how leads from the assistant reach your CRM and how online deals are reconciled with the DMS.
