Kimoby integrations: the 12 companies it lists

Kimoby’s own integrations page at www.kimoby.com names these companies. Below, each one appears with its workflow categories and its evidence status, followed by what the listing does and does not establish. The listing is the provider’s own claim, so treat each name as a lead to verify with both companies.

What Kimoby’s list establishes

Kimoby names 12 companies as integration partners on www.kimoby.com, and this directory records each one with the evidence status of the partner company. A listing is a market signal that a relationship exists.

Scope stays unstated: products, data objects, direction, timing and fees are all missing, and nothing proves that a connection is switched on for any dealership. The partners span 10 workflow categories, led by Dealer management systems (DMS) (9), Service lane platforms (7), CRM & sales enablement (6).

Each row below links to the record for that pair, which carries the verification steps for a dealer to work through with both companies.

What Kimoby’s own integrations page shows

Kimoby describes all-in-one service lane software that runs on top of the dealer's existing DMS, with inspection, video, estimate, approval and payment in one screen. It names the DMS systems it works with: CDK, Reynolds and Reynolds, PBS, Tekion, Keyloop, Serti, DealerVu, Quorum, Dealertrack, Autosoft and Auto/Mate, and the recorded partners add Hunter Engineering, Protractor Software, Lightspeed DMS and DealerRater. It says more than 1,000 dealerships use it, that contracts are month to month and that no rip-and-replace is needed.

The page shows sample results such as customers approving $628 in jobs and declining $320 in an example, which illustrates the workflow rather than reporting an average. A dealer should ask how the repair order stays in sync in each direction, what happens when the DMS is slow, whether estimate lines use the dealer's own operation codes and how declined work is tracked. Ask also how the Hunter Engineering link carries alignment data and whether it needs separate hardware.

Reading the list as a dealer would, the first eight names are DMS systems, so the practical question is whether your DMS is among them and how the repair order is read and updated. CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds, PBS Systems, Tekion, Dealertrack, Auto/Mate, Autosoft and Serti cover most franchise systems in the United States and Canada.

The last four names are different in kind: Hunter Engineering connects a wheel alignment machine, Protractor Software and Lightspeed DMS serve independent repair shops and DealerRater is a review site. Ask which of these connections your store would use and whether any needs hardware or a separate subscription.

Before a first call, pick five repair orders from last week and ask Kimoby to show each one in its screen: the inspection, the video, the estimate, the approval and the payment. Check that the totals match the DMS and that the technician, advisor and customer each see what they should.

Ask what happens when the DMS is slow or offline, whether estimate lines use your operation codes and how declined work is stored for later follow-up. Month-to-month terms lower the risk of trying it, so ask how a store exits and what data it keeps.

Try it on one advisor first. Compare approved dollars per repair order with a control advisor for sixty days.

Keep the numbers. Month-to-month terms make this test cheap, so run it before you roll out.

Also ask what the customer sees. The text link, the video and the approval buttons are the product from the customer's side, so open one on your own phone and note how long it takes to approve a line and pay.

How to check one of these connections

Pick the partner that matters to your store first, for example Auto/Mate. Ask Kimoby and that partner the same questions, separately: which products and versions, which objects and fields, which direction, how often, who pays and who answers the phone when the connection breaks at nine on a Monday morning. Write both sets of answers side by side. A match is a lead you can plan around. A mismatch is the finding, and it costs far less to learn before signature than during a rushed setup that has already started.
